    Hayley Knapp, PMHNP-BC

Hayley is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with experience in acute inpatient care for children and adolescents, psychiatric residential treatment, and behavioral health care in nursing homes. She has found her passion in outpatient care, where she works with children, teens, and adults through medication management and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP).

Hayley believes everyone needs to feel seen, heard, and validated. She offers a compassionate space for patients to make sense of their stories and take an active role in their care. Because one person’s struggles can affect the whole family, she welcomes the involvement of parents, partners, and other loved ones when appropriate.

Hayley approaches medication thoughtfully, as one tool that may help someone feel well enough to engage more fully in therapy and daily life. She takes time to explain diagnoses, what a medication does, and its potential benefits and risks so patients can make informed choices. She brings therapeutic conversation into medication management visits, collaborates with patients’ therapists, and may incorporate GeneSight testing when useful.

As a certified yoga instructor, Hayley values the connection between mind and body. She recognizes the role movement, breath, and body awareness can play in emotional well-being. She has also completed A4M’s Peptide Certification course and training in functional and longevity medicine, which inform her approach when relevant to a patient’s goals.

For patients considering KAP, Hayley views the medicine as a tool within a larger therapeutic process. She helps patients prepare, remains with them throughout the ketamine sessions she provides, and makes space afterward to reflect on their experience. She trained through the Ketamine Training Institute and is an active member of KAPstone Clinics.

Outside of work, Hayley loves spending time with her family, being outdoors, hiking, running, practicing yoga, cooking, painting, and tending—sometimes successfully!—to her growing collection of plants. Her hope is that patients leave each visit feeling a little lighter because they were heard and understood.
