Kathy Newby, LCMFT
I provide psychotherapy services for individuals, couples, and families to address issues related to marriage, relationships with others, parenting, depression, anxiety, life transitions, grief/loss, isolation, stress, and personal/spiritual growth. Taking a collaborative goal-oriented approach, I walk alongside each individual, couple and family in the process of finding healing from the past, peace in the present, and hope for the future.
I received my Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Friends University. I'm certified in Play Therapy and utilize play therapy techniques to effectively work with children and families. I'm also trained in Prepare Enrich premarital assessments, and have completed Level 1 and Level 2 training of Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
As a wife, mother, and professional I know that relationships can be both rewarding and challenging, and that sometimes it takes an outside perspective to help navigate life. Using a blend of therapeutic approaches tailored to your specific needs, our work together will support, promote and encourage your healing and growth.
